Top 3 Tips to make Father’s Day Special

Sporting-Groups-melbourne

Traditionally Father’s Day is a day where we treat Dad to breakfast in bed and some thoughtful handmade gifts to show him just how much we love him! However sometimes we need to get back to the basics and look at what we can do to make his day really special! Of Course Breakfast in Bed and handmade gifts are a certainty, but we asked our team of Dad’s what makes a great Father’s Day to them and this is what we discovered Dad’s really want!

1. No Pressure. What Dad wants the most is a day free from any pressure. Sometimes planning the perfect day actually adds to the pressure of Father’s Day! Give Dad a day off, where there are no deadlines, no chores, no fighting, no hassles, no having to fix things and let him relax or do something he really enjoys!

2. Quality Time. It is sometimes hard to just spend time together and other things get in the way like work, chores, shopping, cooking and extra-curricular activities. This Father’s Day really focus on spending time together and having fun as a family.

3. Let Dad Decide. Instead of planning everything out for him, give him the gift of freedom and choice. Let Dad make the decisions about what to do and how to spend the day. A great way for the kids to get involved is by creating a check list with some suggested activities and then let Dad choose! Go on indulge him. He deserves it!
